Code Journey

The program primarily teaches how to build on the fundamentals of mechanics to create multi-layered levels and scoring systems. You will examine game space organization, adding obstacles, and simple enemies. Then, it will cover how to manage game states and basic pathfinding algorithms. Hands on programming will take the form of building a game for multiple stages with a way to track progress. Each lesson includes materials that include detailed code examples for all of the elements listed above. It will finish with creating a completed arcade game that has elements of strategy.
